Abstract

411,574. Visible signalling-apparatus. GEORGE, L. T., 123, Bishop Street, Birming- ham. Jan. 12, 1933, No. 1031. [Class 118 (ii).] Two shutters 7, 8 are adapted to slide in guides 6 to cover and uncover an opening through which a lamp is visible. The lower edge of the upper plate 7 is bent outwardly and downwardly at 9 to cover the edge of the lower plate when the plates are together, the bead being provided with projections 11 to cover the slides and make a light-tight joint. The plate 7 is slidably connected at 12 to the link 13 which is pivoted at 14 and is extended to form an operating key at 15. The plate 8 is slidably connected to link 16 which is pivoted at 17 and joined at 20 to link 18. Link 18 is coupled to 13 at a point 19 between 14 and 12. When the key 15 is depressed the two plates separate to disclose the lamp and when the key is released the plates are restored by spring 21.
