410,885. Portable stoves. PARKINSON & COWAN (GAS METERS), Ltd., WHITESMITH, I. N., and MEADS, H. J., Bell Barn Road, Birmingham. Dec. 10, 1932, No. 35095. [Class 126.] An oil vapour stove, for use in the open air, comprises a hollow vessel a adapted to supply oil upwardly to a burner b, a cylindrical or similar shell c engaging the vessel a or a part associated with the vessel and serving as a windshield and as a support for a kettle or other utensil, and a detachable cover. In the stove shown in Fig. 3, ready for use with the cover removed, the shell c is supported by legs k attached to the fuel vessel a and to a flanged tray m which may be provided beneath the fuel vessel. When the stove is not in use, the shell c is disengaged from the legs k, the burner b is removed, and the shell is engaged with the tray m or the vessel a and secured by the resilient clips o. In a smaller form of stove, the shell engages the fuel vessel by a bayonet joint fastening, both when the stove is in use and not in use. An annular partition is provided in the shell to protect the fuel vessel from the burner and to support a zig-zag wire member for carrying a kettle or other utensil.
