Abstract

<PICT:0410769/III/1> Hydrocarbon vapours are refined by passage through an insulated chamber 1 maintained at the required temperature by heating agents circulated through a nest of tubes 6 provided with gills 7 of interstitial formation (Fig. 4) whereby all the effective space in the chamber is penetrated by heat from the gills while permitting the adsorbent material, e.g. fuller's earth to be continuously withdrawn or changed at intervals. The vapours are led in through a pipe 13 and pass off through a pipe 14.
