410,713. Casting -machines. BREITBART, H., 308, Adolf-Hitlerstrasse, Beeck, Duisburg, Germany. Jan. 10, 1934, No. 959. Convention date, Jan. 16, 1933. [Class 83 (i).] Metal pouring.-A centrifugal casting- machine has a tilting trough with a pouring slot s and adapted to hold all the metal for one pour, compressed gas, such as carbon-di-oxide or nitrogen, being admitted to the inverted trough to discharge the metal rapidly. The trough may be formed from two flanged parts m, n connected together with asbestos or other packing a between them except at s. If different quantities of metal are required the slot may vary in width as shown in Fig. 4. Two different metals may be cast successively to form a composite body and this or a simple casting may be divided and flattened to form plates or strips. The slot may also be provided with means whereby its width can be varied.
