Abstract

410,363. Cases for ties. WIENAND, F., 7, Falltorweg, Buchschlag, Hessen, Germany. Aug. 11, 1933, Nos. 22490 and 22491. Convention dates, Sept. 7, 1932 and July 15, 1933. [Class 18.] A tie holder or case comprises a number of hinged spring clips 2 arranged parallel side by side on a bar 4 provided with supports 5 adapted to space the bar from a wall, door &c. sufficiently to allow the fingers to be inserted behind the bar when operating the clips. As shown the bar 4 is inclined downwardly towards the wall. The holder is arranged in a casing with a flexible cover 8 and adapted to be hung up by a cord 14. Supports 6 are fixed to the ends of the bar 4 and connected by a rigid bar 7 forming the back of the casing. A strip 8 of leather is attached to the bar 7 and can be folded forwardly over the bar 4 and secured by press buttons 10, 11 leaving an opening at the bottom through which the ties 1 hang. A strip 9 of metal is inserted in the leather to maintain clearance between the strip 8 and the clips. To prevent accidental opening of the clips a bar 12 is pivoted on the side supports 6 or slidable in a slot 13 so that it can be slipped under the upper portions 3 of the clips. The casing may be covered with leather to match the strip 8. The bar 4 and the inner sides of the clips may be covered with felt to prevent damage to the ties.
