409,600. Stuffing - boxes. AKTIEBOLAGET F. R. CEDERVALL & SONER, 1, Verkstadsgatan, Gothenburg, Sweden. Nov. 4, 1933, No. 30725. Convention date, May 22. [Class 122 (v).] In stuffing- boxes for screw propeller shafts. A flanged collar 1 secured to the stern tube and the collar 3 bearing against the propeller hub are elastically separated by a floating ring 12, provided with spaced pockets 14 containing springs 16 which press against the collar 1 whilst the collar 3 is provided with pockets 17 containing springs 18 bearing against the ring 12. The collars 1, 3 are provided with packings 6, 7 secured by annular glands 8, 9. Specifications 9854/87, [Class 122], and 295,195, [Class 122 (v)], are referred to.
