Abstract

409,134. Photographic sensitive films. KARAFIAT, J., 6, Kopernikova Ul., and CERNY, J., 6, Palackeho Tr., both in Pilsen, Czecho-Slovakia. April 18, 1933, No. 11330. Convention date, April 18, 1932. [Class 98 (ii).] To avoid the uneven results produced by sensitizing regenerated cellulose films throughout their mass, the sensitive layer is formed on the surface by drying thereon a superficiallycoated clear aqueous solution of a sensitive material, prepared without precipitant or developing agent ; and irregular stretching of the film is avoided by stretching the wet film flat, either before or after sensitizing, and under considerable tension if necessary, and allowing it to dry while so held. The sensitizing solution may comprise water-soluble silver salts without oxalic acid as precipitant, or water-soluble iron salts without red prussiate of potash as developing agent.
