Abstract
407,477. Cardboard packing-cases. WIBORG, J. R., Rena Stasjon, Osterdalen, Norway. Dec. 9, 1932, No. 34915. [Classes 18 and 21.] A collapsable cardboard barrelshaped box or packing case, for cheese, paper rolls, pulverulent materials &c. is formed from a sheet 1, Fig. 1, of semi-stiff cardboard which has been rolled to provide flexibility in one direction which in the form shown may be rolled round the contents 4 and around heads 5, the meeting edges being held together by straps 3 with buckles and the heads being held beneath strips 2 glued or riveted to the board. The meeting edges may be shaped and stitched as shown in Fig. 4 and a filling valve 7, Fig. 3, may be employed. In another form grooves are provided to receive the heads. In all forms longitudinal creases are formed at diametrically opposite points to permit the container to be folded flat.
