[Class 59.] A roll 1 for sugar cane mills has its peripheral surface provided with cylindrical holes 5 extending into the body of the roll and pitched from each other by several times their diameter. The holes may be parallel with the axis of the roll and may be drilled in a roll having circumferential ribs and grooves.
