Abstract
405,217. Dental malformation appliances. WEBB, S. J. F., 6, High Street, FURNEAUX, E., 56, Windhill, both in Bishop's Stortford, and BROOKS, W. J., Beechcroft, Sollershott, Letchworth, both in Hertfordshire. Aug. 28, 1933, No. 23819. [Class 81 (ii).] A device for correcting dental malformation comprises jawengaging sections V in which are imbedded sockets S having anchoring webs T and adapted to receve a distance piece B the ends of which abut against resilient packings R, e.g. of rubber in the sockets. By varying the thickness of the packings the separation of the jaw segments may be increased. In the process of moulding the segments round the sockets the distance piece is placed in position in the sockets and is held in a plaster of paris mould by a plate H an opening P in which engages the distance piece.
