404,849. Crates. HOWIE, A., 1171, East 20th Street, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. May 6, 1933, No. 13271. [Class 18.] Perforated angle-bars 1, 2 and like constructional members which can be adjustably bolted together to form crates or like containers have their flanges provided with rows of perforations arranged on centre lines spaced apart a distance equal to the flange thickness to suit either inside or outside resting of the bars. The perforations are preferably equally spaced longitudinally of the bars and arranged in three rows 10, 11, 12, the outer rows being staggered with respect to the middle row and with respect to one another. The bars are shown arranged to form a crate with compartments 4-9 for transporting stone of varying sizes, the bars being adjustably assembled in combination with gusset plates 3 having their holes arranged in a similar manner to those of the bars.
