[Class 103 (i).] A triple valve comprises a control chamber supplied from the auxiliary reservoir through a non-return valve held open while the triple valve is in release position and permitted to close upon the initial movement of the triple valve to the application position. The apparatus comprises a triple valve 1 and a graduated release valve 4 the control chamber 25 of which is supplied by a valve 35 from the auxiliary reservoir 2 through passages 33, 34. The valve 35 is controlled by differential diaphragms 29, 30, the space between which is connected to the auxiliary reservoir by the pipe 33 and the space above the larger diaphragm 29 is connected to atmosphere in release position by passage 19 cavities 38, 37 in the triple slide valve 6 passage 17 and a regulating valve 5. The diaphragms will thus be in the upper position and the valve 35 will be held open. On valve application, initial movement of the slide valve 6 closes the passage 19 to the atmosphere and opens it to the valve chamber 7 and thus the auxiliary reservoir. Whereupon fluid is supplied to the space above the diaphragm 29 and the diaphragms arc moved to the lower position to allow the valve 35 to close. The accelerating bulb 10 is connected to atmosphere in release by passage 11 and cavity 37.
