402,016. Wireless control of distant signalling-apparatus. PINTSCH AKT.- GES., J., 71, Andreasstrasse, Berlin. July 1, 1933, No. 18722. Convention date, Aug. 22, 1932. Addition to 343,924 and 377,876. [Class 40 (v).] Relates to means for the distant control of an unmanned buoy or similar signalling station of the kind described in Specifications 343,924 and 377,876. According to the invention the clock-work mechanism used for energizing the valves at predetermined intervals is also made periodically to vary the tuning of the receiving circuits over a small range, sufficient to offset the effect of varying climatic conditions, and thereby ensure effective operation by the distant transmitter. The tuning of the latter may also be similarly varied. The effect is secured either by varying the capacity of a condenser such as C1 Fig. 3, or by rotating a switch to change the effective value of an inductance L, Fig. 4.
