Abstract

400,706. Pantographic apparatus. LINLEY, C. M., 321, Camden Road, and DAY, J., 4, Alma Road, Canonbury, both in London. June 4, 1932, No. 15715. [Class 97 (iii).] In a pantograph having an index member connected by helical springs or rubber bands on one side to a fulcrum and on the other to a pencil, the index member comprises a piece of transparent material with a central spot or aperture which is arranged in alignment with the springs or bands. The piece of transparent material C may have raised edges to which the springs B are attached or around which elastic bands are diverted and may be moved nearer or further from the fulcrum D to vary the scale of enlargement. The fulcrum D may be on a frame E fixed by clips to the drawing board and the pencil may be received in a tapering tube F. By using a stronger spring or band on one side of the index than the other distorted reproductions may be made.
