Abstract
400,565. Saws. THOMPSON & SON CO., H. G., Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.A. June 30, 1933, No. 18627. Convention date, May 31. [Classes 61 (ii) and 145 (ii).] A hack or band-saw blade having cutting teeth of high speed or tool steel such as a molybdenum or tungsten alloy steel and the blade of a tough flexible metal such as a steel of low carbon content, has the high-speed steel in the form of a core extending lengthwise of the blade and exposed at one edge thereof while the main body extends over the inner edge and well over both sides of the core. Teeth 14, Fig. 14, are formed in the core metal 13, the blade metal 12 extending over the core up to the inner edge of the teeth. The blade metal 15, Fig. 19, may extend at 16 up to the top of the teeth, but is bevelled so that it does not extend laterally beyond the teeth. Specification 377,146 is referred to.
