Abstract

399,149. Sewing-needles. HARMAN, P. J., Colwyn, Astwood Bank, Redditch, Worcestershire. Feb. 24, 1932, No. 5506. [Class 112.] Surgical needles 1 have a bored tapped end 2, the ligature 3 being secured to the needle by screwing it into the end. The ligature forms its own threads as it is screwed in. If the ligature is soft or pulpy, it is placed in the bored end of a member 5 which is then deformed to clamp it. This member is then screwed into the needle, a threaded end 6 being provided on it for this purpose. Specification 177,070, [Class 112, Sewing &c.], is referred to.
