399,054. Toasting- appliance. TAYLOR, A., La Turbie, Culver Road, Shanklin, Isle-of-Wight. Jan. 3, 1933, No. 168. [Class 28 (i).] A toasting-appliance for use with gas stoves comprises a pair of plates A, B composed of wire gauze, spaced apart by distance-pieces C and provided with upstanding vertical legs E, E<*> having horizontal limbs secured between the two plates, the bread F being placed on the legs and thereby kept at a sufficient distance from the gauzes to brown gently. The gauze of the upper plate is preferably of finer mesh. The two plates may be secured together along their edges by U-shaped members D having serrated edges D<*> adapted to grip into the gauzes and bind the whole firmly together. A handle G may be provided.
