396,505. Chain cases for cycles &c. M'ATCHLESS MOTOR CYCLES (COLLIERS), Ltd., Plumstead Road, London, and STEVENS, H., Timgad, Windsor Avenue, Penn, Wolverhampton. April 27, 1932, No. 12154. [Class 136 (i).] A chain case for cycles &c., and more particularly for the front or primary chain of a motor cycle, comprises separable parts a which are held together by a sealing- band c embracing their meeting edges, and a clamping-band d adapted to apply pressure to the sealing-band. The sealing-band c may be of rubber, and may have a groove to receive flanges b on the meeting edges of the parts a. The clamping-band d may be in two or more parts secured together by clamping-devices, or may consist of a single band divided at one end of the case and provided with outwardly-projecting lugs tapped to receive a clamping-screw.
