[Class 5 (i).] An electric animaltrap comprises a metal tower 3 with hooks 6 for bait and provided with current conductive collars 4 or the like arranged in the centre of an annular metal channel 5, the channel and the collars or the like being connected to opposite poles of a source of electric current. The channel 5 is kept permanently moist and may accommodate a thin moistened cloth interwoven with metal. The tower 3 and the channel are covered by a cage-like wire netting 7 projecting upwardly from a circular wall 1 that is detachably secured by clips and hooks 15, 14 to the base plate 2 of the trap. An accumulator may be arranged in the tower to supply the current or a plug switch 12 may be used to connect the device to an electric lighting circuit. An aperture 8 fitted with a spring-closed door 10 is provided in the wall 1, the free end of the door being bent inwardly and provided with teeth.
