[Class 38 (ii).] The primary winding of a voltage transformer 8 is connected in parallel with one unit 5 of a condenser column connected between a high tension line 2 and earth. The transformer is housed in the base 7 of the column and an appropriate meter 9 is fitted for measuring voltage.
