Aug. 24, 1932, No. 23735. Convention date, Sept. 8, 1931. [Class 98 (ii).] Dye-toned transparencies for use in making composite motion pictures are so treated as to remove substantially completely all traces of dye from the high lights, e.g. by repeated washing in clean water. As shown, the composite picture is produced by photographing action 7 illuminated by yellow light, in front of a blue background 9 illuminated by blue or white light, upon a film 6 through a yellowtoned, positive transparency 1 of a background component, the transparency having the high lights free from all traces of dye.
