[Class 20 (iii).] Sashes of the kind which are balanced by weights may be secured in any position by an endless cord 3 connected thereto and passing over pulleys 4 which may be locked by a pivoted knifeshaped member 5 adapted to enter between the teeth. The member 5 has a knob or handle 6 which may be slidable thereon and adapted to enter one of two recesses in the frame to position it.
