Abstract

Tars are separated into hydrocarbons and phenols by treatment with liquid ammonia. In examples primary coal tar, coal primary tar distillate, and lignite oil are treated with liquid ammonia and the films formed separated.ALSO:Tars are separated into hydrocarbons and phenols by treatment with liquid ammonia. In examples primary coal tar or a distillate thereof or lignite tar oil is treated with liquid ammonia and the films formed separated.
