Abstract

390,567. Vanity cases. JONES, F. and JONES, E., (trading as JONES & SONS, R. H.), 114, Vyse Street, Birmingham. Dec. 1, 1931, No. 33229. [Class 18.] The powder container of a vanity case is provided with a detachable, apertured cover c and a freely revoluble roller b which contacts with the powder and also projects through the aperture in the cover. Powder is withdrawn from the container by wiping a puff across the roller. Small, loose metal rollers are provided on opposite sides and in contact with the roller b to prevent clogging of the powder, and these rollers may be caged at their ends to maintain them in position. The roller b may be faced with chamois leather &c. The case is made from metal or moulded from synthetic resin, and it is formed with recesses d for lipstick, eyebrow pencils, &c. The inner side of the hinged lid to the case carries a mirror and may accommodate a puff. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 310,755, [Class 18, Boxes &c.], and 354,194.
