389,369. Making washers. THODE, A., 33, Liebigstrasse, Billbrook, Hamburg, Germany. Aug. 5, 1932, No. 22054. Convention date, April 25. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv).] Stamping.-A circular washer has radial tongues on its outer or inner circumference, the adjacent edges of the tongues 4 overlapping each other. This overlapping is produced by reducing the diameter of the washer by a deep drawing operation, the projection 3 thus formed being afterwards removed by a punch to produce the central aperture 3. In another method, the central aperture 3 is first punched and then the washer is forced through a conical die 8 by a punch 7.
