[Class 28 (ii).] A device for peeling or coring citrous fruit comprises a serrated strip 1 bent into circular form and secured to a framework 9, 28 to which the handle 6 is attached. The skeleton framework 9, 28 preferably outlines a spherical surface, or, in a modification, the teeth 4, 5 are actually cut on the edge of a hemispherical or half-hemispherical shell which is secured to the handle. As shown in Fig. 3, the strip 1 is of a diameter to effect the peeling of the fruit, but if coring is to be effected, another tool having a strip 1 of much smaller diameter is used, this strip being preferably secured at its abutting ends, by riveting, spot-welding or otherwise, to a strip which is bent at two points to connect to a handle arranged coaxially with the strip 1. The serrations are preferably arranged in sets 4, 5 having different or opposite inclinations. In a further modification, Fig. 10, the strip 1 is adjustable in diameter by securing one end to a member 20 and the other to a member 29, the members 20, 29 being relatively adjustable. Locking of the members 20, 29 in the adjusted position is effected by clamping the pivot connection 21 with an internally screwed operating handle. The overlapping portions of the members 20, 29 may be roughened to increase the locking action.
