Abstract

In evaporators the formation of scale due to the heating and evaporation of the water is reduced, and the solid content of the water maintained constant, by continually withdrawing water at a definite rate, filtering, returning a definite fraction of the withdrawn water, and supplying fresh feed water to maintain the water level constant.
