Abstract

386,807. Clothes horses. JONES, D. I., 1, Broadway, Bramhall Lane, Stockport. April 29, 1932, No. 4647. [Class 52 (v).] In a collapsable clothes horse of the type in which crossbars 2 are pivoted to uprights 1 and formed in two or more parts hinged together so that the uprights can be brought together to collapse the horse, the horse is maintained in the erected position by jointed metal stay members 4 pivoted to the crossbars and uprights, the two parts of each stay being maintained in line by bending the parts to form interengaging recesses 6. In the construction shown the uprights are formed by a cavity to house the crossbars and stays when collapsed.
