Abstract

385,692. Light-current relays. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd., Caxton House, Tothill Street, London, and BARKER, R., 2, Aldersmead Road, Beckenham, Kent. Oct. 20, 1931, No. 29115, [Class 38 (v).] An electric contact-making relay for use with light currents comprises a U-shaped core 2 against one leg of which an armature 4 is pressed by a flat phosphor-bronze spring 5 adjustable in tension by a screw 9 applied at an intermediate point in the length of the spring. The other leg of the core carries a winding 1. Contacts 8, 10, the core 2, and the screw 9 are carried 'by an insulating strip 12 and the end of the spring 5, which may be current carrying, is mounted on an insulating strip-6, both strips being secured to an L-shaped member 7. The armature may be located by pins inserted in the leg of the core against which the armature is pressed and passing through clearance holes in the armature and its spring.
