Abstract
385,419. Nail sockets, TRUSSED CONCRETE STEEL CO., Ltd. and HOLE, E. R., 22, Cranley Gardens, South Kensing- ton, London. Dec. 9, 1931, No. 34136. [Class 89 (i).] A socket for a nail which is cast into a concrete structure is curved longitudinally to bend the nail when driven. The sheath b is formed from a strip of metal bent into U-shape and fibrous material c is placed in it, the whole being then curved longitudinally. The socket is then secured to the shuttering whilst the structure is being cast. In a modification rope f is placed in a curved tubular metal sheath. In a further modification sheaths of the strip form are connected together.
