Abstract

385,138. Boots &c. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., 32, Osnaburgh Street, London, AMENDE, F. H. and EVANS, A. J., of Dunlop Rubber Co., Walton, Liverpool. March 3, 1932, No. 6421. [Class 17 (ii).] A high top boot made from rubber reinforced with fabric comprises a thigh part 3 which has formed integrally with it a rear portion 4, located in wear at the back of the knee, which is more flexible than the remainder of the boot. This portion 4 is obtained by a reduction in thickness of the external rubber component, or, in a modification, it may be in the form of an insertion of material different from that comprising the boot. To adapt the boot to the shape it normallv assumes in wear, it is formed with a kink at or about the knee.
