384,692. Recording-apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., Crown House, Aldwych, London.- (Assignees of Rusher, M. A. ; 10, Holmes Street, Scotia, New York, U.S.A.) July 9, 1931, No. 19787. Convention date, July 9, 1930. [Class 106 (iv).] A photographic recording-apparatus for use with oscillographs or other electrical measuring instruments comprises a galvanometer element provided with a mirror for reflecting a beam from a source of light, means for obtaining a record of the reflected beam, and means for intercepting the beam when it passes through the zero or other predetermined position. The invention is particularly applicable for identifying records produced on a single recording surface by a plurality of oscillographs. As shown in Fig. 1, a number of galvanometer elements 10 carry mirrors 11 which reflect a beam of light from a source 12 on to a sensitized film-strip 14 in front of which is placed a bar 15 provided with slidable holders 16. Each holder, Fig. 3, carries a metal pin 17 which is positioned to intercept the reflected beam when the element is at its position of rest. By this means a series of breaks occurs which breaks fall on horizontal lines appropriate to each record. The holders 16 may be moved to intercept the beam at determined values or be moved to inoperative positions.
