Abstract

384,493. Shelving. BROOKES & ADAMS, Ltd. and BROOKES, H. L., 250, Barr Street, Hockley, Birmingham. March 1, 1932, No. 6153. [Class 52 (i).] Sectional shelving comprises brackets having openings adapted to receive projections on the ends of two shelves, one on each side of the bracket. The parts may be moulded from synthetic resin. Each bracket 1 comprises a panel portion 4 serving as a partition and a web portion 5 and between these parts a horizontal slot is formed, having a central portion 9 wider than the end portions 10. Each rectangular shelf 11, provided on three sides with an upstanding flange 12 and at its rear edge with a downwardly projecting rib, has at one end two projections 17 and at the other end a thicker single central projection 18. In an alternative construction three separate slots are provided in the bracket and the corresponding projections at the ends of the shelves are of the same thickness. A helical wire rail 19 passes through holes 7 in the brackets and is fixed at each end by screws 20.
