383,885. Separating solid materials. BOUQUET, M., Issoudun, Indre, Paris. May 5, 1932, No. 12996. Convention date, July 3, 1931. Addition to 382,875. [Class 117.] The separating apparatus d e s - cribed in the parent Specification is modified by the substitution for the guideplate of a third roller 3, which with the other two rollers 1, 2 forms two grading spaces 4, 5 of varying width along the length of the rollers and a hopper for receiving the material under treatment. The rollers may be of different size and have different speeds acccording to the conditions. The main roller 1 may consist of a steel tube provided with a helical rib for carrying the material from one end to the other. The roller 2 may be a steel tube covered with friction material such as rubber, and the roller 3 is preferably smooth. Preferably the angular position of the rollers 2, 3 is adjustable relatively to the roller 1.
