Abstract

383,861. Induction motors. SHIGYO, E., 12, Hakubun-cho, Tairen, South Manchuria. April 5, 1932, No. 9760. [Class 35.] In a multiple-conductor squirrel-cage machine each bar of the outer ring is connected at one end to a bar of the next ring at or near a pole pitch distant, the bars being short-circuited at the other end. Figs. 1 and 2 show the arrangement applied to a double-conductor machine, the bar-7 in the outer set being connected to the bar 10 in the inner set and the outer and inner sets being short-circuited by rings 11, 12. The rings 11, 12 may be replaced by a single broad ring or they may be dispensed with, when the bars 7, 10 are-connected at both ends to form a closed circuit.
