Abstract
383,124. Pneumatic tyres. MICHELIN ET CIE, Clermont-Ferrand, Puy-de-Dome, France. Feb. 8, 1932, No. 3757. Convention date, Dec. 7, 1931. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii).] A pneumatic tyre for use on rail vehicles comprises an air tube 13 of substantially oblong section, and a cover having a substantially flat tread with a reinforcing insertion 7 extending across the full width of the tube. The insertion 7 may be formed of canvas, or cotton threads or wires, arranged circumferentially. The rim 1 may be formed with a detachable outer side flange 10, the inner flange 2 being fitted with an extension 3 to engage the rail.
