Abstract

382,918. Globes &c. SCHNEIDER, B., 30, Schillerstrasse, Eichwalde, near Berlin. June 13, 1932, No. 16732. [Class 75 (ii).] In a globe or other illuminant enclosure consisting of two or more parts of glass or other translucent material connected together by bayonet-joints, the projections on one of the parts are unequally spaced around its periphery and the flange of the other part is suitably recessed. In the form shown, the part 1 is provided with a narrow projection 5 opposite wide projections 3, 4 each of which is closer to the other than to the projection 5, whilst the flange 6 of the part 2 is provided with a single recess 7 which is wide enough to pass over the projection 5 but not over the projections 3, 4. The two parts 1, 2 are connected together by placing the flange 6 obliquely under the projections 3, 4, raising the part 2 so that the recess 7 passes over the projection 5, and then turning the part 2 so that the flange 6 rests on each of the projections 3, 4, 5.
