Abstract

382,428. Tables. LUPTON, F. and LUPTON & SONS, Ltd., J., Tong Road Mills, Tong Road, Leeds. Oct. 29, 1931, No. 29950. [Class 52 (iii).] An extending table with simultaneously s li d i n g end leaves has two pairs 1, 1<x> of leaves hinged together at their adjacent edges 1<a>, 1<b> at the middle of the table. The undermost leaf of each pair is fixed each to slides 3, 3<x>, Fig. 1, in guides 4, so that the pairs of leaves may be separated and the top leaves turned inwards until they occupy the former positions of the under leaves. Brackets 5 with rollers 6 engage with fixed bars on the underframe and prevent the pairs of leaves from rising. Simultaneous movement of the pairs of leaves is effected by interconnecting devices such as lazytongs 7 pivoted centrally to a longitudinal bar 8.
