Abstract

382,369. Electric radiators. BULPITT & SONS, Ltd. and BULPITT, W. H., Swansea Works, Camden Street, Birming- ham. Sept. 8, 1931, No. 25161. [Class 39 (iii).] In a radiator having a body portion 3 carrying one or more heating elements 8 and hinged about its lower portion to a substantially flat base 2, the body or base is provided w i t h a curved recess or shoulder 13 and the other part is provided with a portion 11 held in adjustable engagement with the recess by one or more clamps 15, the body being retained in the desired position by friction. The body 3 is in the form of a rectangular dish with a beaded edge and a central aperture in which is fitted a reflector 5, the element 8, and a guard 9. The clamps 15 are secured to the base by bolts 17 fitted with nuts 20 and spring washers 21. Pieces of fabric 22 are inserted between the part 11 and the recess 13 and the clamps. A thick plate 29 is secured to the base to secure stability.
