[Class 28 (i).] In a toasting or grilling appliance of the kind comprising a handle carrying a pair of arms between the free ends of which the article of food is held, the arms being drawn together by sliding a member towards the free ends of the arms, the arms b, b<1> are each formed of a pair of diverging wires and the sliding member a comprises a wire each end of which is bent to form two eyes, the diverging wires of each arm passing through eyes at opposite ends of the sliding member and each eye engaging one of the diverging wires. The free ends of the arms may be bent as shown in Fig. 3 or they may be straight.
