Abstract

381,027. Loose-leaf binders. MORLAND & IMPEY, Ltd. and SHEWELL, W., Kalamazoo Works, Northfield, Birmingham. Dec. 21, 1931, No. 35230. [Classes 16 and 146 (i).] Covers for looseleaf binders comprise a main panel a having separate edgepieces b slipped over the edges of the panel, and corner pieces c which engage adjacent ends of the pieces b and are secured in position as by rivets f inserted through the corner pieces c and the panel. The ends of the edge pieces are reduced in thickness so that the corner pieces are flush therewith and the corner pieces may be provided with a cushion g, comprising a rubber block, fitting in a hole in the corner piece and having a flange on its underside to hold it in position. A strengthening indentation d may be provided. The panel may be formed of cardboard, wood, sheet metal &c., and the edge pieces of compressed fibre, while the corner pieces are of sheet metal.
