380,716. Preparing charges for internal-combustion engines. GUPPENBERGER, J., 35, Dechbetten, Post Pr³fening, near Regensburg, Germany. Feb. 23, 1932, No. 5396. [Class 7 (ii).] In preparing charges for use in internalcombustion engines, a plate, arranged between flanges on the induction pipe and provided with grooves forming ducts for the admission of atmospheric air to the pipe, has a segmental duct c communicating near its end by a radial passage d with the atmosphere and at intervals along it by tangential ducts b with the pipe. A screw e controls the duct d and segmental grooves c are formed on both sides of the plate.
