380,547. Etching. KOOPERATIVA FÍRBUNDET, 9, Katarinavõgen, Stockholm. July 18, 1931, No. 20641. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1930. [Class 100 (ii).] In an apparatus for frosting the interior surfaces of lamp bulbs or other hollow glass objects, the container for the frosting solution is arranged at a higher level than the bulbs &c. so that it flows into the bulbs by gravity. In one form, Fig. 1, the container 1 is connected by conduits 2, 12 to a pipe system 3, 13 vertically movable in a box 4 so that the nozzles 14 carried thereby may be inserted in and removed from the bulbs 15. Surplus solution runs into a reserve tank 7 from which it is returned to the container 1 by a pipe 10 and pump 8. In a second form, Fig. 2, two containers 1, 1a are provided connected to the pipe 10 and conduit 2 and instead of a pump 8, a vacuum pump 16 may be connected to either container 1, 1a to cause solution to pass into that container from the reserve tank.
