Abstract

815,548. Glass manufacture. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Oct. 5, 1956 [Oct. 10, 1955], No. 30427/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 56. A glass object such as a small lamp bulb or an eye-glass is moulded by supplying more liquid glass than is necessary for forming the object to a container having an outlet. Only the core part of the glass that flows through the outlet is used in the formation of the object and, after the object has been formed, it is parted from the remainder of the glass protruding from, and supported by, the container from which it is then removed.
