Abstract
380,119. Changing signs. SMITH, V. M. M., 2B, Montagu Mansions, Portman Square, London. June 10, 1931, Nos. 16843 and 31736. [Class 3 (i).] Signs of the type which change with the viewpoint of the observer, and which comprise a rear surface from which a plurality of ribs 13 project, are formed from a single sheet 10 of cardboard or thin metal by first forming the advertisements thereon, preferably by colour printing, and then forming the ribs by a pleating operation. The rear surface will thus carry one advertisement, the right-hand faces of the ribs another, and the left-hand faces a third. The device may be protected by a coating of cellulose varnish, and a backing 14 and frame 15 may be provided.
