Abstract

379,872. Boots &c. TOWELL, E. F., Monogram Works, Kettering, Northamptonshire. Sept. 21, 1931, No. 26346. [Class 17 (ii).] The upper of a cricket boot has sections a which are secured between the vamp #and quarter g and extend from the front opening b to the heel seat. These sections are reinforced by backings e of a flexible, inextensible material, which are substantially co-extensive with the sections a and are secured to them by lines of stitching d. These lines run in the direction of greatest strain on the upper in wear. The reinforcements are covered by the lining j. The lacing eyelets in the sections a pass through the backings e.
