Abstract

379,010. Wind-actuated mascots for vehicles. PARKER, J. O. M., 17, Judges' Walk, Norwich. June 6, 1931, No. 16542. [Class 132 (iii).] A wind-actuated mascot of the bird variety comprises a pair of wings C, D freely pivoted to a spindle B<1> rigid with a member B, that is disposed within and is free to oscillate about the longitudinal axis of a substantially horizontal body member A. The wings are tilted to present their opposite surfaces to the wind as the spindle B<1> nears its alternative extreme positions by the engagement of the forward edge of each wing with an upper or lower stop E<1>, F<1>. The device may be attached to a motor vehicle, cycle, boat, aircraft or to a stationary object.
