Abstract

378,648. Loom picker buffers. MITCHELL, A., 4, Elim Street, Gale, Littleborough, Lancashire. Aug. 20, 1931, No. 23430. [Class 142 (iii).] A U-shaped picker buffer comprises an inner layer B of rubber and an outer layer A of leather, the ends of the layers being bound by strips of buffalo hide C and rivets c. The layer of rubber lying between the end pieces C may be bent in W formation to increase the resiliency of the picker. The Provisional Specification describes a buffer having an inner layer of rubber and an outer layer of buffalo hide, the ends of the latter being doubled in on themselves to bring them adjacent the bend of the V.
