[Class 6 (i).] A narrow-track implement for ploughing vineyards &c. consists of a tractor connected to a plough adapted to be raised by cables, the chassis of the tractor being attached by two adjustable chains to the front cross-bar of the plough, which engages in guide hooks on the chassis, and the axle of the front steering wheels of the tractor being pivotally mounted at its centre on the chassis and connected to it at its ends by means of a system of compensating springs. The front steering wheels 3 are as near as possible to the rear driving wheel 4 and may themselves be driven. The front axle 6 is pivoted at 7 to the chassis 8 and connected to rods 13 passing through swivelling members 15 in guide brackets 9 adjustably mounted on the chassis. Compensating springs 12, 11 surround the rods above and below the brackets 9, the upper springs being adjustable by means of nuts 14. The front bar 17 of the plough 2 is connected by two chains to points on the chassis 8 near the front wheels and higher than the crossbar 17. The plough is raised by cables 19 secured at 20 and passing round pulleys 21, 22, 23 to a drum 24 driven by the motor 5, the front bar 17 coming into contact with hooks 18 on the chassis 8. These hooks 18 are attached to bars 28 connected to runners 25 and movable through supports 31 under the control of adjustable springs 33, 34. The bars 28 are guided by cheek plates 30 and are connected together by a chain. The runners 25 are connected to the chassis 8 by rods 26 and normally are above the ground but descend and support the plough when it is raised. An endless track 38, Fig. 4, may be substituted for the driving wheel 4, the track passing round an upper driven sprocket 39 and two lower sprockets 40, the axle of one of which is adjustable.
