Abstract

377,560. Centrifugal separators. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR, 8, Flem. inggatan, Stockholm. Jan. 7, 1932, No. 489. Convention date, Jan. 8, 1931. [Class 23.] The centrifugal separator 1 has a hinged cover 9 in which is arranged a closed supply channel 10. Hinge bolts 7<1>, 7<2> are threaded through ears 3 on the framework, and pass through holes in ears 6 on the lower part of the cover. The channel 10 is continued in the housing 11, which is recessed to receive the hinge bolt 7<1>, and contains the end of a rotatably mounted hollow part 12 with holes 13 to connect its interior to the channel 10. The packing 15 is compressed and a tight joint established by screwing in one or both of the hinge bolts 7<1>, 7<2>. The liquid is supplied from the pipe 14 through the member 12 and channel 10 to the separator and the cover hinges on the bolts 7<1>, 7<2>. In a modification the outlet pipe 5 is connected to a hollow housing, the inlet and outlet housings being arranged endto-end between the bolts 7<1>, 7<2>.
